Rules that protect your account, other people and the service.
Use your own account responsibly
You must be 18 or over, use an email you control and provide accurate account information. Do not impersonate another person, share passwords, bypass access controls, exploit another person’s session or attempt to access records without permission.
Content you must not upload or share
- Illegal content, child sexual exploitation or abuse material, terrorism content, threats, fraud or content facilitating serious harm.
- Intimate images shared without consent, harassment, stalking, coercive monitoring, hateful abuse or disclosure of another person’s private information without a lawful basis.
- Passports, identity documents, payment credentials, medical records or sensitive information about other people. Avoid highly sensitive details about yourself; this diary is not designed as a secure medical or identity-document vault.
- Material that infringes copyright, trade marks or other rights; malware, harmful files, spam or deceptive commercial content.
Sharing and downloaded copies
Respect the traveller’s choices. Do not redistribute another person’s diary or photographs without permission or a lawful reason. A family relationship, financial contribution or possession of a share link is not authority to circumvent permissions.
Reports and enforcement
Report unlawful content or misuse using help, reports and complaints. Do not download, copy or email suspected child-abuse imagery to us. Send the page/account identifier and a brief non-graphic description instead. We may restrict access, remove content, suspend an account and preserve/report evidence where legally required. Decisions should be proportionate; we normally explain them and offer an appeal unless prohibited or unsafe. Reporting does not guarantee a particular outcome or continuous monitoring.
Technical photo checks do not mean every upload has been reviewed, virus-scanned or certified safe. In immediate danger, contact the local emergency service; Oveloworld is not an emergency response service.
