Your diary & family sharing
Your account. Your memories. Your choice of who can see them.
Private by default
Your saved plans, diary and learning notes belong to your own account. Selecting a parent/family role or paying for another person’s future membership does not reveal their information. We do not provide automatic location tracking or emergency monitoring.
What a share does
- Choose the recipient’s correct sign-in email, entry/text selection, photographs, expiry and whether the photo download button is available.
- The recipient must sign in with the selected verified email. Keep that mailbox secure and tell us if control of an address changes.
- You send the link yourself. No automatic invitation email is sent. Current shares can also appear in the recipient’s Family area.
- Learning notes remain private. Editing shared entry text changes what current recipients can see; revoke the share first to keep later edits private.
- Expiry or revocation stops future access through the service. It cannot erase a downloaded copy, forwarded copy or screenshot. Disabling downloads is not copy protection.
Photographs and other people
Photos are resized and metadata is removed before storage. Keep the original files separately. Only upload and share photographs you have permission to use, with respect for the people shown. Do not upload identity documents, intimate images without consent or sensitive personal records. See acceptable use.
Exports, deletion and access
You can delete entries/photos, revoke shares, export text/trip records and download stored photos individually. Account-wide requests go to hello@oveloworld.com. The service is not end-to-end encrypted; authorised service administrators and suppliers can technically access stored information for necessary service, security and legal purposes. Read privacy and retention.
Report unwanted sharing, an incorrect recipient or access you believe is unauthorised through help and reports. Avoid sending the private content again when reporting; identifiers and a brief description are normally a better starting point.
